Pony Days

Our holiday programmes run in all school holidays, from Tuesday to Friday.  They are a fantastic way of letting children build their confidence around ponies, in a safe, controlled environment.

Demi-days (Recommended for 4-6 year olds.)

These run from 9.45am to 12.45pm
Prices: £50 per session, £90 for 2 consecutive days or £160 per week (Tuesday to Friday)
Limited availability - a deposit secures your place.

On our Demi-days the children will learn how to groom the ponies, have a group riding lesson (we prefer each child to have ridden with us at least once before so that they are familiar with the surroundings) and learn some of the basics of equine care.

Children should bring with them:

  • A drink and a snack
  • An extra layer/ waterproof (clearly labelled)
  • A pair of gloves
  • An extra pair of socks
  • Sun cream in the hope of sunny weather

Practice Makes Progress Days (Recommended for 7+ years)

These run from 9.45am to 3.45pm
Prices: £80 per day, £140 for 2 consecutive days or £270 per week (Tuesday to Friday)
10% discount for siblings attending on the same days.
Limited availability - a deposit secures your place.

On our Practice makes progress days, the children will be grooming their ponies and helping to tack them up for riding as well as untacking afterwards. Each child will join two group lessons per day as well as getting involved with the practical aspects of equine care, including tack cleaning and day to day care.

The groups will be split in accordance with their prior experience (if your child is coming as part of a group of friends please inform the office at the time of booking and we will do our best to ensure that they are in the same group though this cannot be guaranteed.) This will ensure that all children get the most out of their time with us.

Children can request ponies (although we cannot guarantee that each child will get their first choice).

Children should bring with them:

  • Lunch and a couple of snacks
  • An extra layer/ waterproof (clearly labelled)
  • A pair of gloves
  • An extra pair of socks
  • Sun cream in the hope of sunny weather

Riders for this course must be able to tack up their own pony and be proficient in walk, trot and canter. Each child will join two group lessons per day expanding on their current abilities including drill rides, pole work, jumping lessons, riding without stirrups etc.
