Over the last 35 years, thousands of adults and children have been taught to ride by us for fun, to compete or for professional exams. Our proficient and friendly instructors will ensure that you will be taught competently and to the highest standard.
Our lessons are run in groups or if you prefer, individually (all new riders have an assessment lesson and those new to riding have private lessons initially) and, as you would expect, we have a wide variety of horses and ponies to accommodate all standards of rider.
We welcome adults of all ages, confidence levels and abilities and offer riding lessons to children from 4 years as well as 15 minute ‘Tiny Tot’ rides for 3 year olds.

We are fully approved by the British Horse Society as a riding school and have a select number of livery places available. Bravebyte Limited t/a The London Equestrian Centre is licensed to operate as a riding school by The London Borough of Barnet.
With our horses’ best interests in mind we have a maximum weight limit of 13 stone (82.5 kilos) for all riders.
The London Equestrian Centre fully supports the Five Freedoms for Animals as endorsed by the World Organisation for Animal Health.
There are good transport links for riders living in central London, including Mill East Tube Station (on the northern line) which is a short walk or bus ride away.
We have copious parking available and are ideally located on the Mill Hill/Finchley border to accommodate riders from North London and Hertfordshire.
For times when you need refreshment, our friendly cafe, Gee Gee’s, can offer you a warm welcoming place to eat and drink.
